Window Cleaning Core Services
Professional Residential Window Cleaning
Professional window cleaning is more than just wiping down the glass. It’s a detailed process involving the removal of dust, grime, and ensuring a streak-free finish on both interior and exterior windows.
Interior Window Cleaning
The inside story is just as important. Professionals meticulously clean glass surfaces, window frames, sills, and tracks. And for those interested, blind and shutter cleaning can often be added to the service.
Exterior Window Cleaning
Outside, it’s about removing the tough stuff – dirt, leaves, cobwebs, even bird droppings. High windows? No problem. Specialized equipment like extension poles and water-fed poles come into play, ensuring safe and effective cleaning, including the exterior frames and sills.
Beyond the Basics
Window and Screen Cleaning

Tools of the Trade
What Do Professional Window Washers Use to Clean Windows?
It’s not just about the elbow grease. Professionals arm themselves with an arsenal of tools – from squeegees and microfiber cloths to mops, extension poles, and specialized cleaning solutions. These tools are a game-changer compared to your average household methods.
Inside or Out? The Scope of Service
Do Window Cleaners Do Inside and Out?
A common query with a simple answer: Yes. Most residential window cleaning services cover both, giving you a comprehensive clean that’s hard to achieve on your own. The pros should be able to explain to you the inclusions of the service as they quote you a price.
Cost Considerations: What Influences the Price?
How Much Does it Cost to Get Your Windows Cleaned?
According to Angi, the national average cost for window cleaning is around $219, but this can vary significantly based on several factors. Understanding these factors can help you estimate the cost for your specific needs.
- Window Size and Type
The size and type of your windows play a crucial role in determining the cost. Larger windows like bay windows or those with multiple panes require more time and effort to clean, which can increase the overall cost.
- Number of Windows
Naturally, the more windows you have, the higher the cost. Each window adds to the time and labor required for cleaning.
- Accessibility and Safety
Accessibility is a key factor. Windows that are high or hard to reach, such as those in multi-story buildings, often require special equipment and safety measures. This added complexity can increase the cost.
- Cleaning Frequency and Duration
How often and how long your windows were last cleaned also affect the price. Regularly maintained windows might cost less to clean than those that haven’t been cleaned in a long time.
- Regional and Location Variations
Don’t forget that prices vary by region and location. The cost of window cleaning services in urban areas might differ from those in rural settings due to varying operational costs and demand.

DIY Window Cleaning Tips: Understanding the Limitations
How to Clean Outside Windows from Inside an Apartment?
While DIY methods can be effective for interior windows or easily accessible exterior windows, they fall short when it comes to more challenging scenarios.
Cleaning outside windows from a high-rise apartment, for instance, poses significant safety risks. According to the Window Cleaning Safety Guidelines by OSHA, such tasks often require specialized equipment and professional expertise to ensure safety and efficiency.
Moreover, DIY methods may not provide the same level of cleanliness and can be time-consuming and less efficient compared to professional services.
Additionally, there’s a risk of causing unintentional damage to the windows. Improper DIY cleaning methods, such as using abrasive tools or harsh chemicals, can lead to scratches or other damage to the glass. This not only affects the window’s appearance but can also compromise its integrity and lifespan.
How to Clean Window Sills Inside?
Simple methods like dusting and wiping with a cleaning solution can keep your window sills looking decent. However, for stubborn stains, paint removal, or dealing with accumulated grime in hard-to-reach areas, professional expertise can make a significant difference. The limitations of DIY in such cases lie in the lack of professional tools and techniques that are crucial for thorough cleaning and maintenance.
Case Study: Window Cleaning & House Washing in South Austin, 78745
This window cleaning and house washing project is down in South Austin located in 78745. How our team got the opportunity to clean this beautiful property was simple. We were in the neighborhood cleaning windows for a current client of ours.
Our techs went and talked with one of the neighbors and this is how the job came about.
The project consisted of washing the entire house and washing all of the windows.
On houses down in South Austin, there are a lot of hornet’s nests. The main concern the client had was to wash the house and remove all the nests. When it comes to a house wash, it is more about cleaning dirt and organic stains off the exterior. Hornets nests are not included. We did however let the customer know that we will do our best to knock off as many as we can.
Luckily the nests were easy to knock off with a simple blast from our soft wash system. The more difficult nests were knocked off when we started cleaning the windows.
The Window Cleaning Process
When it comes to cleaning the exterior windows, we use a water-fed pole system. The pole can extend high enough to reach really high windows. While we cleaned the windows we were able to also hit and knock off any hornet’s nest. There were a total of 35 windows cleaned on this house.
If you thought “What about the hornets?! They’ll get you!” Don’t worry, our house-washing solution usually kills them. Once the colony is terminated, we can knock off the nests.
After the house washing, window cleaning, and cleaning of the windows screens, the house sparkled like new!
The Cost of the Project
There were a total of 35 windows @ $10 per window per side and $75 for taking off screens, cleaning, and reinstallation
The house washing was $800, so we gave her a discount for the bundle.
